The Taphouse

Welcome to Sydney’s most awarded beer venue. We specialise in craft beers from strictly independent breweries, exceptional pub fare, cocktails & events. We are known for our 60 taps spread across 3 levels and more importantly, the beer we pour through them. We believe there is a beer for every occasion and each year we serve over 500 different locally brewed beers and ciders.

ELM Rooftop Bar

Flowing drinks, climbing ivy wall vines, festoon lighting and leafy palms will set the mood for laid back afternoon drinks. Rain, hail or shine, a retractable awning promises that the rooftop is ready for all seasons. The menu boasts an equally rich and diverse selection of food, fresh-juiced cocktails, seltzers, wine with over 20 craft-beers on tap. Sip back and relax in our secluded urban oasis.

Functions & Events

The Taphouse in Darlinghurst is the perfect Inner City venue for any occasion. Whether it be a corporate function for up to 143 people, or a private celebration for up to 30 guests, we have a number of excellent options to suit all needs.

Drag King Bottomless Brunch

Elm Rooftop Bar is redefining one of Sydneysiders’ favourite pastimes (the bottomless brunch) with the launch of the country’s first-and-only drag king brunch. With free-flowing prestige cuvée and rosé, good vibes, and delectable bites there’s no better excuse to round up your mates for an event that’s sure to be the bottomless alfresco affair of 2022. Tickets start at $149 for the Veuve Cliquot package and $79 for the Chandon package.

Sunday Roast

Known as the ‘crown jewel’ of Sydney Sunday roasts, the famed Taphouse feast is back for the summer. If you’re looking for the perfect roast that is just like nan’s’ our roast ticks all the boxes. With head chef, Axel Chilton, inspired by his Grandma’s secret recipe and hailing from the U.K, it is no secret that the English-inspired pub grub is one-of-a-kind.

Our new smokehouse menu caters for everyone with a selection of meat-lover, vegetarian and vegan showstoppers. Staff favourites include our vegetarian peach smoked corn ribs, that mimics ‘pork ribs’ of smoked deep-fried corn with vegan whipped jalapeno butter, the 100% vegan watermelon ‘tuna’ tacos which features compressed watermelon in soy and sesame oil and looks and tastes like Japanese tuna tataki, and the apple smoked brie wheels served with Chilton’s secret Canadian blueberry chutney.
